Introducing the Big Rig Flight Recorder 4 Channel GPS Capable Mobile Video System

Built around a rugged and reliable, GPS capable, fully networkable DVR, the Big Rig Flight Recorder system provides 4 channels of video surveillance around your rig so you can easily see everything in your blind spots. Not only will this help you avoid accidents but much like the 'black boxes' used in commercial airliners, it will also provide a video record of everything leading up to it if an accident occurs. The driver may choose to visually monitor a single blind spot camera or observe the quad view for complete traffic awareness. Additionally, this system, properly optioned will faithfully record video evidence in the event of accident or hijack. All four channels with GPS data, vehicle speed and time/date stamp can be recorded on a removeable120Gb hard drive. Video can be easily off-loaded by output cable, wired or wireless Ethernet or via the SD Card Slot.

While we have presented our Big Rig 'Flight Recorder' 4 Channel Mobile Video System in the context of 18 wheeler semi-trucks, this 'black box' approach can be easily adapted to nearly any type of commercial vehicle.

Originally developed to serve the special safety requirements of the nuclear waste transport market, this concept has been refined and is now being offered to carriers nationwide.

We can even place a wireless camera (with 1000 foot wireless range) at the rear of your rig, so even if you are pulling tandem trailers you can always watch your back door. Backing up should be a lot easier too!

The illustration above is merely one possible configuration. For example, the truck owner/operator may choose to upgrade with a high quality dome camera (interior mount only) for video of the driver's forward view to validate  operating conditions in the event of a traffic accident. You will set it up to best meet your needs.
